Tips on Selecting Your Builder
Choosing the right builder may be the single most important decision you will make when it comes to building your custom home. Not all home builders are alike. Our dedication to superior customer service and on-site supervision gives us a differential advantage over many builders in the area.
- Gather a List of Names:The best way to build a list is by asking friends and neighbors. If that doesn’t work, check local directories or service providers.
- Check Backgrounds:With your list in hand, make a few calls to weed out service professionals with questionable records.
- Get Estimates:At least three service professionals should bid on your home. Be sure to spend enough time with each bidder. When you prepare to get bids, describe your project clearly. Ask for an approximate start date. Keep in mind that many contractors have busy workloads and may not be able to start for several weeks or months. Ask for samples. Most service professionals have portfolios containing photographs of past work.
- Make your Decision:Don’t immediately select the lowest bidder for the job. Make sure each estimate details your specifications. Look at the estimates and see where cost differences exist, then ask the contractor. Consider the time frame.

- Some custom builders offer limited selections of floor plans, options, etc. We do not limit the choices and are not limited in final design.
- Many other builders have salespeople or estimators who do not have the experience to actually design a home or manage the building process, and this limits their ability to properly plan and price the home you desire
- As a smaller builder we have more control over the many aspects of the job, including subcontractors actions and design changes; we have long-standing relationships with the subcontractors we use
- We will be on the jobsite every working day from foundation to closing.
- We offer a standard one year warranty on your home should anything need some fine tuning.
